Yard Work at the Homestead

Hello everyone.  This past weekend, we ventured back out to the property to do a little bit of yard work.  In one of our previous posts, “Surprise, Surprise! What We Found On The Land“, we talked about going out to the land and doing some brush hogging.  Well, that involved a rental truck, rental ramps, and a rental brush hog – and all of that equaled dollars!!

This time we used what we had to get the job done. You can either choose to do nothing because you feel you lack what’s needed for yard work or you can pony-up and do a little hard work with what you have to make some progress.  We chose to do the latter, but this time we had some new toys – weed eater brush blades!  If you have never seen these before, some of them look like saw blades while others can look like a normal weed eater head with metal extensions. You can grab them at your local hardware store for your weed eater model or click here to view listings of various brush blades.

Here is one of the blades that I used:

I’m telling you, these are some baaaaaaad blades!  They will slice and dice and chop! Ok, this isn’t an infomercial, but I think they are some nice additions to have in your tool shed.  So, check out the video below.  It is about last weekend’s yard work and you’ll see the results of those little blades’ work.

Stay tuned as we continue on this journey!
